If you were like me when I was first identified, the whole idea of autism is overwhelming. So much conflicting information - a lot of it very negative - and very little of it really seems to help you move forward. The diagnosis of autism carries so many ‘deficits’ - things we can’t do - with no explanation why or what to do about it. And NOTHING about the things we can do, the things we excel at.
And this is because most ‘information’ about autism is guesswork - bad guesswork - by observers who never thought to ask the people they were studying what was REALLY going on. If you want to know about an internal experience, you are never going to learn about it from observing the OUTSIDE. You need people who can tell you about their experience from the INSIDE.
But who has the time to dedicate years to listening to autistic voices? Most people need that information NOW - not years from now.
This is where Inside Aut comes in - we have done that work for you - years of research listening to autistic voices put into easy to access courses and workbooks.
The WHY of why we do what we do and we are the way we are. The tips, the tricks, the workarounds to cover our gaps, where our strengths are - and how to lean into them. How to move from struggling to being our best selves.

About our courses
Autistics often have a highly active limbic system. Our primal protective responses.
Most dominant is our Panic Monkey - our Health and Safety officer, on the lookout for threats and our Dino Brain, our autonomic protective reflex (Fight/Flight response or Meltdowns). If they take charge they can lock out the pre-frontal cortex - our Air-traffic Controller - and take charge of the control room themselves. This is rarely as helpful as Panic Monkey and Dino Brain intends. Understanding how these three interact is central to understanding autism and autistic needs.
There are five keys to understanding this interaction - Sensory Needs, Processing Demands, Energy Levels, Environment and Damage and Trauma.

The 5 Keys to Understanding Autism provides an overview into understanding the autistic brain.
We meet Panic Monkey, Dino Brain and the Air-Traffic Controller and look at how Senses, Processing, Energy, Environment and Damage interact with them.
Broken into six ten minute blocks - because not everyone has an hour free at once.
